AWF Logo Have AWF come speak to your organization!

Alaska Whale Foundation scientists are available to come speak to your university, school, museum, club, store, or activity. This can be an exciting, fun, and educational way to learn about science, marine mammals, and what you can do help the environment.

Each one of the scientists involved with AWF has very broad scientific knowledge as well as areas of specialty that we enjoy sharing with others. Just a few of the topics we can discuss with you are:

  • humpback whale behavior
  • marine mammal rescue
  • marine mammal evolution
  • global temperature change and what it means for marine mammals
  • animal communication with an emphasis on marine mammals
  • the ecology of coastal Southeast Alaska and the Pacific Northwestern United States
  • bioastronomy
  • the link between studying animal communication and SETI
  • bird life of the Pacific Northwestern United States
  • plant life of the Pacific Northwestern United States
  • aboriginal culture's interaction with marine mammals
  • how statistics is used in biological research

Please contact us at AWF@alaskawhalefoundation.org, and we can discuss ways we can share our knowledge with you.
